Ilocos Photoholic 2008

March 2, 2008

This is my first time to join the OTS of Ayala Alabang Camera Club.  There have been several OTS in the past but I was not able to join them.  This time, it’s too good to pass. The last time I visited Ilocos was around 5 years ago and I thought it was high time that I go back and check the ‘wassups’ in Ilocos.

The Ilocos tour included the usual spots like Paoay Church, Cape Bojeador, etc. but my top two sites are as follows: (1) Capurpuraon Rock and (2) Bangui Wind Mills.

I didn’t have the chance to visit these two places when I first went to Ilocos and am sure am glad I joined the OTS this time to see these beautiful sights first hand…

Sunshot Photography Club goes to Pinatubo

February 21, 2008

Aside from photography, club members share a common love for travelling.  Last February 16-17, we had our first OTS at Mt. Pinatubo.  Before braving the rocky trail, we took a relaxing break at the farm where we spent the night one with nature. No beds but tents. No electric lights, only moonlight. It was one experience we will never forget.

We woke up 430am to prep ourselves for the whole day affair that is called Adventure. Though my second time already to hike up to Pinatubo, excitement was still there for I know it’s going to be a sweet reunion with the pristine crater…

Sales peeps in a concert

January 20, 2008

Well, not really… It just seemed like one when field managers of Sun Life Financial  shouted and danced the night away when the management team of Sales Department gave their whole heart in one of a kind FaME performance!

It came as a surprise to everyone in the room since nobody expected their big bosses to be singing and dancing even with two left feet! We felt like giving the audience a little fun (or should i say "kahihiyan" ) after a whole day business session and jampacked speakers - Pinay Everest Team, Francis Kong, and some other heavy-gats in the org… After our stint, Sitti soon followed.. of course, hers was the professional performance=)

Proud to be a Filipino…

We recently invited the Pinay Everest Team to our company event.  They brought the house down with their inspiring and encouraging sharing of their experiences (mostly hardships) in reaching the summit.  They were very cool and down to earth peeps… Idol ko na sila :)

Around Indonesia

January 6, 2008

We went around Indonesia last week of October 2007. We went coffee shopping in Jakarta, shopped again at Rhuma Mode, Bandung, and shopped again in Dyogjakarta.

Indonesia was surprisingly a very interesting place. The country is a very large one that our 9 days were not enough to explore it… Promise, i’ll be back…

Sonia’s Garden @ Tagaytay, Dec 29, 2007

Just by looking at this picture still gives me the refreshing feeling… Plus the total ambience of the place and the company of friends - Laiza, Rosel, Joanne and Richard. It was our treat to Richard for the kindness he extended to us when we were in Indonesia =)
